With our mission to inspire the community in becoming entrepreneurs, we have always believed that DCCU can – and should serve back to the society. As a mentor in developing entrepreneurs, our founder believes that the fundamentals of becoming a successful leader is our contribution to the community around us. Hence, we organize CSR activities every year such as providing assistance to those in need during festive season.
Ahmad Johari is an Executive Chef at DCCU CAFE. He started his career as a chef from 1987 as a Comis III at Federal Hotel, Bukit Bintang until 1996 he has been promoted as Demi Chef. After that, he served as a Demi Chef at Hilton, Petaling Jaya COffee Horse Paya Serai. He joined DPalma Shah Alam in 1998 as a Chef Die Partie. After 4 years of service, he joined Hashim Mydeen Enterprise (one of the companies under the Group, DCCU CAFE) at Ansell factory canteen.
With vast experience as a chef, he has been promoted to Executive Chef in Hartalega factory canteen. One of his best moments was to serve the Prime Minister, Cabinet Ministers, State Minister and other V.I.Ps during his service as a chef in a hotel. His passion in cooking to serve the customers with delicious, hygiene, and safe dishes that makes DCCU Cafe unique.
Zahari Mat Noor is a Purchasing and Finance Manager at DCCU Cafe since 2018. Starting his career at HME Catering in 2002 as cashier. Even though he started as a cashier, he has been exposed to kitchen management and food production for cafeteria in Ansell, Shah Alam factory. Due to his diligence in work, in the year 2008 he has been promoted as Operation Manager for handling business in a school canteen at Damasara Damai.
After that, he carried the responsibility in managing a new outlet at Hartalega Sdn Bhd in Bestari Jaya and Sepang where he arranged and managed the operation and production. It was a challenging job since Hartalega is the world’s largest nitrile glove producer, which has over 7000 employees. With his experience and expertise, he has been appointed as a director in one of the subsidiaries under DCCU Group of companies.
Nur Fareesha Hashim, has been an Operation Analyst at DCCU since 2019. She is responsible for ensuring that food products meet standards set by both of the company and regulatory authorities.
Nur Fareesha possesses a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management from SEGi University with multiple certification awards. During her 4 months internship program at The Royale Chulan Damansara Hotel, she was assigned into two separate departments where she learned on how back and front of the house operations worked.
Having joined DCCU as a part-timer since 2016 at one of DCCU’s branch located at Bestari Jaya, Nur Fareesha was exposed to the daily operations of the Cafè and has been familiar with it ever since she was in college. In 2019, she finally joined DCCU as a full-timer after succesfully completing her Bachelor’s Degree.
Driven, dedicated, and passionate about the company, she believes in a team-style of management, which allows her to make key decisions while still receiving input from her staff. For Zilfalela, the people make the company because they support her in upholding the values under which her husband originally operated DCCU Cafe. For this reason, Zilfalela’s primary source of professional joy comes from building DCCU Cafe team by selecting the right people for the job—not just filling positions.
Her strength lies in directing behind the scenes since she is a problem-solver who likes to get things done right the first time. Zilfalela is known for the strong sense of loyalty that she inspires in her team members, as she works diligently alongside each of them to continue DCCU Cafe’s success in the industry.
Muhammad Faris Hashim is head of Business Strategy at DCCU. He possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Information System from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from National University of Malaysia. He started to involve directly into the business since 2016 as an Outlet Manager. Two years later, he joined an innovation consulting firm to gain more exposure in the corporate world.
He was appointed as head of Business Strategy in 2019 to oversee the company’s corporate structure. He currently leads the organisation’s transformation effort, positioning it to higher standard by having the right systems, processes and people in place for the company’s growth and development.
Nashruddin spent 32 years of hands-on experience in food & beverages sector, starting from McDonalds, KFC, Pizza Hut, Domino’s, A&W, KUBB to Shakey’s Pizza until his last post managing the franchise chains of Old Town White Coffee, nationwide. Last year, he managed to significantly turnaround losing operator of Old Town White Coffee to a positive growth.
Nashruddin or most people who knows him by the name “Nash”, he is a friendly and easy-going person. As the Chief Operations Officer of Hashimmydeen Empire Sdn. Bhd., it is vital to ensure that he is approachable by staff under his supervision. That advantage comes handy when he is a true people’s person and most of his subordinates are able to gain as much knowledge as possible from his experiences.
Hashimmydeen Empire Sdn Bhd is set to grow bigger and elevate higher with Nash’s presence in the management team.
